Fishing
The total Experience
People of all ages and experience levels enjoy fishing. For many it is not just catching fish. Its a combination of being outside, enjoying scenery, wildlife and wildflowers along the shore line, the chance to stop fishing and go for a swim or explore the shoreline. These little "extras" are especially fun for children. And if you are a serious angler who wants to do nothing but fish, there's enough lake to keep your line wet in as many new spots per hour as you care to pursue! (photo Ridgewood Resort)
Bull Shoals Lake Fishing Tips
Walleye, crappie, and Bass they all live in clear water. For best results use 6lb. test line and smaller versions of popular lures and baits. Many people experience poor results when using large lines, large lures, and other murky-water tactics. Ask your resort host for more fishing tips. With a few simple tackle changes you'll have a great time. (photo Ridgewood Resort)
Fishing Is Good All Year
There are no seasons on Bull Shoals Lake. You can fish all year. As with all successful fishing, the water temperature is a key factor. In cooler weather the fish are closer to the surface and are more active. In warmer weather night fishing is very popular. But no matter what time of year you vacation, you can catch fish. Just ask your resort host, or inquire at the marinas, bait shops, or simply hire a fishing guide. (Photo Biltmore Resort)
